A Million Dreams...
The 21st March is Down’s Syndrome Day worldwide. We have been involved for a short while with 21 Together, a Kent based charity working with the Down’s Syndrome Community in Kent to raise expectations and realise potential.
In every cell in the human body there is a nucleus, where genetic material is stored in genes. Genes carry the codes responsible for all of our inherited traits and are grouped along rod-like structures called chromosomes. Typically, the nucleus of each cell contains 23 pairs of chromosomes, half of which are inherited from each parent. Down syndrome occurs when an individual has a full or partial extra copy of chromosome 21… hence the name of the charity, and the significant date.
We’ve refreshed and modified the brand image for both practical and aesthetic reasons, with a good deal of input from the trustees and the 21 Together team. A refreshed website is on its way, but in the meanwhile, we’ve produced a video with lots of the kids Makaton signing for a Million Dreams fundraising ball this weekend.
